Volgens mij hebben ze gewoon het zelfstandig naamwoord 'play' gereworded naar 'battlefield'...om ambiguïteit met het werkwoord 'play' weg te halen.

Put into play --> put into the battlefield.

ff voor de duidelijkheid:


M10 is bringing a large amount of templating/rule changes along with it. Here are a few (some are not yet confirmed, but almost surely happening)
-All occurances of 'playing a spell' become 'cast/casting a spell' Confirmed on Silence
-'in play' zone becomes 'the battlefield'. Confirmed on Queen of Ants
-'removed from game' zone becomes 'exile' (to Exile may be the action of placing a card into that zone as well)
-Mana burn will be removed from the game. (Pools still empty as normal, just with no damage accompanying it.)


Vooral dat laatste heeft wel wat impact.

afgelope week hadden we het toevallig met een groepje ook over de nieuwe regels, dat ze woorden aanpasses zodat het duidelijker wordt dat is dan wel goed, maar bv dat weghalen van de manaburn is een beetje jammer. ik hoorde ook van iemand dat ze in bepaalde phases (combatphase dacht ik), de stack weg wilde halen ofzo :S en ook dat dubbele abilities vervallen (lifelink-lifelink) hoe zit dat dan?

hmm,,, dat van de stack is eigenlijk nog wel t ergste wat ze gedaan hebben, maar van de andere kant maakt dit het spel een stuk interresanter omdat je keuzes moet gaan maken.
